We are excited to have your child in the Triad School District and look forward to a working partnership with you. We have outlined below back to school communications from for each grade level 


Elementary (Grades Kdg-5) Back to School Events & Info.

You are invited to attend open buildings at our elementary schools on Wednesday, August 14th from 5:00-6:30. This is an opportunity for you to come to the building and drop off school supplies. Please note that some teachers may not be in their classrooms during this time.  


The first day of attendance for 1st - 5th-grade students is Thursday, August 15th.  The students will attend for a full day.  Breakfast and lunch will be served on the first day.  Please note times for the start and dismissal of the school day.


8:25 Doors open for students.  Please do not send your child before this time since there is no supervision.

8:25-8:45 Students enter the school building and either go directly to their classroom or the cafeteria to eat breakfast.

8:45 Class begins.  Children arriving after 8:45 are considered tardy and must be accompanied by an adult to sign in at the office.

3:10 Doors are unlocked.  Teachers will escort the kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd-grade students to the library.

3:15 Teachers dismiss 3rd - 5th-grade students.  All parents are required to wait at the main entrance for their children.


Our morning drop-off time is from 8:25-8:45 and student drop off will be in the main entrance hall for kindergarten through 5th grade. If you need to speak to your child’s teacher, you will need to check in with the office to have your ID scanned and receive a visitor’s pass. 


The first day of attendance for Kindergarten students is Friday, August 16th. The students will attend for a

full day. Breakfast and lunch will be served on the first day. Please note times for the start and dismissal

of the school day.


Kindergarten parents and children are invited to attend a short orientation session that begins in our cafeteria on Thursday, August 15th.  Kindergarten orientation is scheduled from 9:15-10:30 or 10:45-12:00 on Thursday, August 15. Your parent letter will have a designated time.  You are welcome to bring school supplies at this time. It is important that you plan to stay for the entire orientation session. The orientation will be a wonderful

opportunity for your child to meet his/her teacher and other classmates, as well as become familiar with the

classroom. We hope that all kindergarten families will be able to attend the orientation. However, if neither

parent is able to attend, another designated adult must accompany your child. If you are not able to attend

the orientation, we would appreciate you calling the office to let us know.


Please note all afternoon bus students must ride the same bus home daily.  Bus changes will only be honored for emergency situations. If a student attends the Beyond the Bell program, the expectation will be to have a consistent schedule.

Triad Middle School (Grades 6-8) Back to School Events and Information

All TMS students should have received their schedules by now. For those who didn’t receive their schedule via email, it will be available Monday, August 12th

 

As a reminder, our last open building event is scheduled for Monday, August 12th from 3:00-7:00p.m. The building office hours on Monday will be 10am-7pm because of the open building that evening.  Please feel free to call or come by the office after 10am with any registration or scheduling questions.

 

While the open building and yearbook/ID picture event on Monday was scheduled specifically for incoming 6th graders, all TMS students are welcome to attend if there are 7th/8th graders who were unable to attend this week.

Monday, August 12th – Open Building for Supply Drop Off and Pictures – 3pm-7pm

Thursday, August 15th – 1st Day of School – 7:45am-2:20pm (normal, full day schedule)

Wednesday, August 28th – TMS Open House – 6th grade parents 6pm; 7th/8th grade parents 7:15pm

 

All TMS Students will have a school-issued chromebook once again this year.  Students may purchase a chromebook case of their own or they will be available for purchase in the TMS Office for $10.

 

All TMS Students will have a school-issued ID lanyard again this year.  Please do not purchase a lanyard. Students are required to wear the school-issued lanyard, which is color-coded by grade level.  Students will receive these on the first day of school, August 15th.
